The Crios (pronounced kris) are a traditional belt which was worn by our ancestors as belts. They were worn by both men and women.
They are made in the Gaeltacht area of Connemara in Galway, on the west coast of Ireland by weaver Máire Ní Thaidgh, who is one of very few people in Ireland who make them. We like to keep these traditional crafts alive and so we use them as Mála ties.
They are hand woven and finished with the hand-plaiting of the strands of wool. All created in different colour combinations, these unique masterpieces are truly beautiful.
100% Irish Wool. Hand wash 30 degrees.
